Lovegotchi guide
How streaks work in Lovegotchi
Your streak is the simplest measure of showing up for each other. Here’s exactly how it counts — and how to keep it without stress.
In Lovegotchi, the two of you share one streak. It shows how many days in a row your pair has been active, and you’ll see it at the top of the home screen and on the Couple tab.
How the streak counts
- It’s shared. There’s one streak per pair, and activity from either of you counts toward it.
- It goes up once per day. If you were active yesterday, your first visit today adds one day. Coming back several times on the same day doesn’t add more.
- Missing a full day resets it. If a whole calendar day passes with no activity from either of you, the streak starts again at 1.

Streak goals
The Couple tab also shows your next streak goal — for example “5 / 7” on the way to a full week — with a progress bar. Milestones like a 7-day or 30-day streak are recorded on your shared timeline, so they become part of your story.
The streak saver
Life happens. If you lose a streak that was worth saving, Lovegotchi may offer a short window to mend it by watching a short ad. If the offer appears, it’s time-limited, so use it soon. If not, a new streak starts the next time either of you checks in.
Gentle ways to keep it going
- Split the day. One of you checks in in the morning, the other at night — either one is enough to keep the streak alive.
- Use the widget. The home-screen widget shows how Mochi is doing, which is a nice nudge to open the app.
- Turn on reminders. Gentle notifications help you remember, and quiet hours keep them from waking you.
- Pair it with a habit. Morning coffee, the commute, brushing your teeth — attach a 30-second Mochi visit to something you already do.
Keep it kind
A streak is a celebration, not a test. If it breaks, that says nothing about your relationship — start a new one. And don’t use the streak to keep score between the two of you; it belongs to both of you.
