Lovegotchi guide
How to care for your Mochi
Seven care actions, a handful of needs, and a pet with a lot of feelings. Here’s how to read Mochi and keep her happy as a team.
Mochi has five needs — hunger, energy, cleanliness, love, and happiness — and they slowly drop over time. Care actions top them up. Because you share one Mochi, anything either of you does counts for both.
The seven care actions
| Action | Main effect | Side effects | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Feed | Big hunger boost | A little happier, slightly messier | 15 min |
| Play | Biggest happiness boost, plus love | Uses energy and gets her a bit dirty | 10 min |
| Cuddle | Big love boost | Happier | 5 min |
| Sleep | Large energy restore | Starts Dream Mode; generous rewards | 30 min |
| Rest | Quick energy top-up | — | 3 min |
| Bathe | Big cleanliness boost | Happier, a little love | 20 min |
| Talk | A little love and happiness | — | 5 min |
Every action earns experience (which raises your shared level) and coins (which you spend in the shop). Sleep earns the most of both.

Reading Mochi’s mood
Mochi’s mood is a quick summary of how she’s doing. A message under her name tells you what she’s feeling:
- Happy, content, loved, excited: you’re doing great.
- Hungry: time to Feed.
- Sleepy: her energy is low — Rest or Sleep.
- Dirty: she “needs a warm bath.”
- Lonely or waiting: nobody has checked in for a while. A Cuddle or Talk helps.
- Sad or neglected: several needs are low. Give her a few different kinds of care.
Dream Mode
When you put Mochi to sleep, her room dims and she naps for a while. You’ll see when she’s expected to wake up, and when she does, you both get a reward for letting her rest. It’s a nice way to end the day — especially if your partner is in another time zone and will see her waking up.
Don’t let her get too weak
If Mochi’s needs stay very low for too long, she becomes critically weak and needs rescuing. The easiest way to avoid this is simply for at least one of you to check in each day. Turning on reminders helps — you can set quiet hours so they don’t wake you up.
A simple daily routine for two
- Morning (person A): Feed, Play, Talk.
- Afternoon (whoever’s free): Cuddle or Rest.
- Evening (person B): Bathe, Cuddle, then Sleep to start Dream Mode.
Short cooldowns mean there’s nearly always something you can do. And because Play makes Mochi a bit dirty and tired, following it with a Bath or Rest later keeps her balanced.

Earning coins along the way
Each care action pays a few coins. Spend them in the shop on skins like Honey or Strawberry Mochi, hats, charms, and new rooms. Daily check-in bonuses add a little extra, and some items are part of Lovegotchi Plus.
