Lovegotchi guide
Mochi’s evolution stages, explained
Mochi starts as an egg and can grow into a crowned, winged Legend. Here’s what each stage looks like, which level unlocks it, and how evolving works for two people.
In Lovegotchi, Mochi’s look is tied to your shared level. Every care action either of you does earns experience; experience fills your level; and certain levels unlock Mochi’s next form.
All six stages at a glance
| Stage | Unlocks at | What’s new |
|---|---|---|
| Egg | Level 1 | Where every Mochi begins |
| Baby | Level 3 | Hatches; round body and a pacifier |
| Child | Level 10 | Bigger smile, a little bow, clearer emotions |
| Teen | Level 20 | Taller shape and a purple glow |
| Adult | Level 30 | Wide, steady body and a golden halo |
| Legend | Level 50 | Crown, wings, and a pastel glow |
Each stage up close
Egg · Levels 1–2

A mysterious egg full of potential that pulses with a soft, warm glow. You can already care for it — the care counts toward hatching.
Baby · Levels 3–9

Hatched! Baby Mochi is small and round with a blue pacifier. This is where most pairs really start to bond with her.
Child · Levels 10–19

Growing fast. Child Mochi shows her emotions more clearly and reacts to every bit of care. She also gets a little bow.
Teen · Levels 20–29

Becoming independent and curious, with a taller shape and a new purple color.
Adult · Levels 30–49

Steady, expressive, and deeply bonded through daily care. Adult Mochi wears a soft golden halo.
Legend · Level 50+

The rarest form of Mochi, with a crown, little wings, and a pastel glow. It takes a long, steady run of shared care to get here.
How evolving works for two people
When your shared level reaches the next threshold, Mochi becomes ready to evolve. The change plays as a short ceremony. Because Lovegotchi is built for two, the partner who wasn’t there doesn’t miss out: they get to watch the evolution the next time they open the app.
You can always see your current stage and what’s next in the Evolution Tree.

Do skins carry over when Mochi evolves?
Yes. Skins with 3D models — currently Honey Mochi, Strawberry Mochi, and Stormlight Mochi — have their own version of every stage from Baby to Legend, so your Mochi keeps her look as she grows. Honey Mochi even has a honey-drizzled egg.

How long does it take?
That depends on how often you both care for Mochi — every action earns experience, and bigger actions like Sleep earn more. Early stages come quickly: Mochi hatches at level 3. Later stages take longer by design, so reaching Legend at level 50 is a real milestone you’ll have earned together.
Tips for leveling up
- Use the full range of care actions — each one earns experience.
- Put Mochi to sleep when her energy is low; Sleep is one of the most rewarding actions.
- Split care across the day so Mochi is looked after in the morning and evening.
- Keep her healthy: a well-cared-for Mochi is a happy one.
